MSc in IT Management Program

Focusing on Entrepreneurship

The MSc in IT Management Program is an American management degree that is much more specialized than a general MBA and focuses on the relevant management issues in the IT discipline across many industries and . It provides a unique blend of technology and business management skills development, with additional emphasis placed on building entrepreneurship and “intrapreneurship” proficiencies.

This program provides participants with the skills necessary to evaluate technological and managerial solutions, to identify which combination of these solutions would enhance the added value in their specific industry and type of business, and to make well-informed business decisions.

Methods for transforming technological knowledge into profitable business applications are a core element throughout this program. Strong industry involvement and executive participation guarantees the timeliness and relevance of the technology entrepreneurial initiatives that are generated during the program (please find the logos of supporting companies here). The latest technological innovations and their applications will be explored, providing participants with a competitive edge in exploiting existing, or designing new in-house technology, for enhancing the product offering, for better market positioning, and for market expansion.

In addition, the program will address the large communication gap between so-called “techies” and managers. Participants will focus on the fundamentals of both schools of thinking and learn how to mediate, interpret and create a solid bridge between the two groups, thereby contributing to the organization’s competitive strength.

Both the program content and the innovative teaching methods, such as in-company internships, student managed investment funds, senior industry executive round table meetings and presentations, venture capitalist monitoring and inter-campus exchanges are pivotal to the success of the program.
