Weekend MBA

Not everyone can leave their full-time job to pursue an MBA, and not everyone is willing to tackle the challenging task of juggling work, personal life, and school. Now, with the new Weekend MBA at CEU Business School, the same high quality American MBA degree can be earned on the weekends, while staying on the fast track- with no career interruption. The Weekend MBA was designed with the working professional in mind. The logistics have been developed to allow participants to maximally focus on coursework during the intensive 3-day sessions, with minimal disruption to work.

This modular program is also ideal for professionals generally based in Central and Eastern Europe.

Benefits accrue immediately since the program gives participants the chance to step back from the daily work routine and consider timely and relevant business issues on a broader basis. In addition, newly acquired theories and analytical skills can be immediately applied back in the workplace. Interactions and networking with a diverse group of colleagues, company executives and alumni of the school further enhances the learning experience.

The Weekend MBA starts in January of each year.

Classes run intensively from Friday afternoon to Sunday noon once every three weeks. The academic year has three trimesters. During each trimester you generally take two 3-credit and one 1.5-credit courses over five residential weekends of study and exams.

We have designed the Weekend MBA with choices and flexibility so that you can complete the core part of the program in 1.5 years and earn your MBA in 2.5 years. Tailor-made independent study projects, the Strategic Management Project and semester exchange opportunities are open to Weekend MBA candidates after finishing the core program. These options can accelerate the completion time of the MBA program.
